Fragment, Essential and Non-Essential Clause

Fragment

Dependent clause which is does not give a complete meaning is called a fragment.

Note: A dependent clause most starts with a subordinating conjuction

Essential clause

It is clause which cannot be omitted from the sentence

Non-essential clause

It is a clause which can easily be omitted from the sentence without changing the meaning of a sentence.
