What is prime factorization?

The decomposition of a composite number in to prime factors is called the prime factorization. This might sound really difficult, but actually it is a very easy concept.

First of all take a composite number for instance 24

Now we are going to take the prime numbers which give the same product, so the primer factors would be 2x2x2x3

The easiest way to find the prime factors of a composite number is to draw a factor tree.
