Table 1: The chart shows the different games children were playing in PACANS School from years 1990-2005
The following chart shows the different games the students in PACANS School were playing from the years 1990 to 2005. The students at PACANS School were 3 different games which are football, cricket and hockey.
In 1990, a little more than 2000 students were playing cricket whereas only 1000 people were playing hockey. It shows that in 1990 students had the greatest interest in playing cricket and very few students were playing football. From 1990- 2005 the most popular game was cricket whereas the least popular sport was football. In the initial years very few children played football, but as the years progressed children were keen to play football. The number of student who played football doubled from 1995 to 2000. The same number of students was playing cricket and hockey in 2000. All the sports showed an increasing trend throughout these years, but hockey was the only sport which was not able to attract the attention of students because the number of students who played hockey declined by 1000 from 2000 to 2005.
It can easily be seen from the graph that the most popular game was cricket, but football is also gaining popularity quickly and students are getting interested in playing this game. It is good that about 8500 students had engaged themselves in games in 2005. This number was 500 more than the students who were playing games in 2000. It shows that students are more conscious about their health and they tend to enjoy games.
